CS2 Skin Upgrade — CSDOG Upgrader

The CSDOG upgrader is the section for upgrading CS2 skins: you stake items from your site inventory, your balance or a mix of both, and choose the skin you want to get. The chance of success is shown before you start. If the attempt succeeds, the chosen item appears in your CSDOG inventory; if not, the staked items and balance are not returned, but you receive a consolation prize.

How CS2 skin upgrades work

The upgrader compares the value of your stake with the value of the chosen skin and calculates the chance from that difference. The more expensive the target is relative to the stake, the lower the chance: turning items worth $1 into a $2 skin is easier than into a $10 skin. The percentage applies to a single attempt and is recalculated as soon as you change the stake or the target.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is a CS2 skin upgrader?

It is a tool where you can try to exchange cheaper items or balance for one more expensive skin at the displayed chance. On CSDOG the upgrader is built into the site: no separate registration is needed, just sign in with Steam.

  • Can I upgrade with balance only?

Yes. The stake can be your balance, items from your CSDOG inventory or both together.

  • How many items can I put into one upgrade?

Up to six. The chance is calculated from the total value of everything you staked.

  • What happens if an upgrade fails?

The staked items and balance are not returned. Instead you receive a consolation prize — an item worth 1–2% of the stake or, if there is no suitable item, money to your balance. A new attempt needs a new stake.

  • Can I withdraw a skin after an upgrade?

Yes. Open your CSDOG inventory, select the item and click “Withdraw to Steam”. The site offers instant withdrawal to Steam; see the FAQ for detailed instructions.
